THE FORCES GATHER AGAINST PINTARD
In those old Hollywood racist movies, you would see the white man sitting at the table about to have dinner. He is dressed in his white linen suit. The food is being brought to the table, but in the distance as dinner is being brought by the black African servant, you can hear the distant sound of the drums in the bush. The white man asks the servant: “What do those drums mean?” The answer is that they are coming to get you and mean to kill you.
That is the message that Michael Pintard should be hearing from those who love him. The drum beat is getting louder and louder. It was faint but then Hubert Ingraham threw down the gauntlet in front of Mr. Pintard’s face. That should have been a sign that it was time to go in peace. But instead Mr. Pintard as we reported last week appeared on a radio talk show and thumbed his nose at Mr. Ingraham
He forgot that the FNM is Mr. Ingraham’s party.
So here is the rapid set of developments. First the meeting at Hubert Ingraham’s house, then the meeting at Tommy Turnquest’s house. And now the reports are that the convention that Mr. Pintard thought would be October 2027 is to be advanced asap.
Brent Symonette, who says, he hardly checks for the FNM these days, suddenly had a lot to say in the Nassau Guardian. Read carefully between the lines and it is telling Mr. Pintard to go gently into the good night.
