Prime Minister Andrew Holness of Jamaica announced that the general election will be held in Jamaica on 3 September 2020 following the victory of Keith Rowley of the PNM in Trinidad and Tobago on 10 August 2020. The Leader of the Opposition in Jamaica is Peter Philips.
