Candia Dames swimming with the pigs
The following statement was issued by the Chairman of the Progressive Liberal Party about Candia Dames latest article in her column National Review
From The Chairman of the PLP
On Candia Dames Attack on the PLP and Jerome Fitzgerald
27 February 2018
For Immediate Release
In The Nassau Guardian’s Opinion piece National Review, its Managing Editor accuses the PLP of hypocrisy because the PLP she says brought Jerome Fitzgerald before the public again.
If this writer would simply remove from her eyes the scales of ignorance, she might have noticed that Mr Fitzgerald made an appearance at the Marathon Branch of the PLP to announce his retirement from public life and to introduce the choices for the next PLP candidate for Marathon.
Those are the unvarnished facts. Anything else is idle guff and chatter. You have to wonder if this writer’s hatred for the PLP knows no bounds. The logic of it is as crooked as a corkscrew.
The PLP would suggest that if she wishes to examine a textbook case of unethical behaviour, it is her own conduct as a journalist vis a vis her brother the Minister of National Security Marvin Dames. Jerome Fitzgerald is not the issue. The issue is Marvin Dames and Duane Sands, two Ministers of Government who have been judicially condemned and must resign.
