On Dress In The Senate
For Immediate Release
27 June 2019
Senator Fred Mitchell speaking on the wrap up of the debate on the 2019 Budget in the Senate has proposed to the Government that the PLP would support a rules change in the Senate which allow men to dress in a Guyabera for the sessions of the Senate during the summer time.
Senator Mitchell recalled that there was such a rule in the public service which has fallen into disuse and said that the rule should be returned, given that The Bahamas is a hot country.
