It is very sad that Black women in The Bahamas are so low in their self-esteem, too many of them that is, that they are still bleaching their skin. When they do so, they leave themselves open to disease and sickness but apparently it is too much to accept the colour of your skin. Says a lot about the standard of beauty in our country. The same goes for the affinity of this female population for wigs with straight hair. It is quite shameful and the revolution to accept who we are as a people still has not arrived. What a pity.
