The FNM Wants To Tief People’s Money

The Government has now published a bill, laid on the table of the House, and read for a first time on Wednesday 7 November 2018. The Bill will take the dormant balances of depositors in Bahamian banks now held in trust at the Central Bank and transfer it to the Treasury.  Last count some 81 million dollars.  If you don’t claim the money, its escheated to the Crown.  Isn’t that stealing?  IF the PLP tried it, boy you wouldn’t be able to hear your ears for the noise.
