Juan McCartney at It Again

Last week in the first iteration of this column, there was an error in the name of the satirist who writes on Facebook C A Newry.  It first appeared as C R Newry.  The error was immediately corrected.  However, there is always a smart ass in the bunch and within minutes of the upload, a comment was posted by Juan McCartney (he of the Nigger rant on radio) of Guardian radio saying that Fred Mitchell could not spell Mr. Newry’s name.  First, how did Fred Mitchell get in the matter?  Secondly more importantly, this is a time that requires public figures who have access to microphones and airwaves to be sober, not silly.  Continues to disappoint, wasting a valuable opportunity by refusing to be sober in his reflections and not silly.  Pity.
