Thanks to photographer Dominick Lightbourne, I was able to capture these moments with Brianna Moree as she prepares to represent The Bahamas at Miss Global International pageant in Jamaica and wish her good fortune. She is the granddaughter of our late Stalwart Councilor Alphonso Moree of Long Island. She is studying at UB to be an engineer. We all called her granddad Archie or Captain Moree. He would be my guide and driver on my annual visits to Long Island. It brought back pleasant memories.
