DRAGGING ON A NOTHING RESOLUTION IN THE HOUSE

It is clear that the FNM is intent on trying to waste time by the employment of the stall, delay tactic in the House of Assembly on Wednesday 2 February 2022.  So there was a simple nothing burger resolution by the Government to finish work which the FNM agreed to when in office, yes that same Michael Pintard when he was a minister agreed to it.  The resolution was to convey a parcel of land publicly acquired so that the  Marriott Hotel’s new owners could get a clear title to their land.  The resolution should have passed on a nod but instead took the whole live long day, one distraction after the next on Wednesday 2 February 2022. The FNM claiming falsely that the Prime Minister talked down the investment in Grand Bahama and then that the covid numbers have gotten worse under the PLP and that the PLP does not have a plan. Every irrelevancy to the debate.  A resolution which all but one of their MPs agreed to support.  When the time came for the vote Andre White took the chicken run and ran into the smoking room to avoid voting for it.
