HAITI VISA ISSUANCE SUSPENDED WHY?

A cryptic message was issued last week from the Foreign Ministry saying that the issuance of visas for Haiti had been temporarily suspended. No explanation as given for why this is so in one of the busiest ports that the Governed has to service.  It appears that all the visa applications now have to be processed in Nassau.  This must be an inconvenience to the thousands of travelers who come to this country legitimately from Haiti ever year. The Government owes the country an explanation.
