HAS RYAN PINDER CHANGED HIS MIND ON WTO? SO SHOULD THE PLP?

On 28th May 2018, The Tribune wrote the following: Former Minister of Financial Services and former World Trade Organization (WTO) negotiator under the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) Ryan Pinder said he is not sure The Bahamas can withstand the initial shock of joining the WTO to benefit from prolonged growth as a result of joining.

On 5 December 2013 as Minister for Trade Mr. Pinder said the following: The Bahamas takes this opportunity to reiterate that it is fully engaged in the process of acceding to the World Trade Organization and looks forward to the day, in the not-too-distant future, when we take our seat as a full Member of the organization
