The Government sponsored a retrospective concert  in honour of the music of Freddie Munnings Sr.  Mr. Munnings was the owner of the Cat and Fiddle Nightclub and a musician in his own right.  Songs from his albums about the city of Nassau were sung by artists Sammy Starr, Veronica Bishop, Aliya Colley, Marcos Armbrister, Freddie Munnings Jr and Ray Munnings with his son Ray Jr.   The Munnings family attended the function in the presence of the Governor General Dame Marguerite Pindling and the Prime Minster Perry Christie.  The photos are by Peter Ramsay of the Bahamas Information Services.
