Mr. Greene Dies In Miami

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released the following statement on the death of Rudolph Greene, driver at the consulate general’s office in Miami

  MR. RUDOLPH GREENE

9TH MARCH, 1955 – 8TH FEBRUARY, 2022

It is with great sadness that I write to inform you all of the passing of Mr. Rudolph Greene. Mr. Greene passed away on suddenly this morning, Tuesday 8th February, 2022. He was born to Bahamian parents in Nassau on the 9th March, 1955 and attended the Eastern Senior High School in 1972. During the course of his employment, Rudy has worked as musician with Tony McKay “the Obeah man” and sang in bands all across the United States of America. Before joining the Consulate General, he worked as a supervisor in packaging and handling at the Bolder Daily Camera, a newspaper company in Boulder Colorado.

Mr. Greene has been a valued member of our team since July 2006 and will be missed greatly. Please keep his family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time.

In light of the sudden passing of our colleague, friend and brother, the Consulate General will close tomorrow for colleagues who are feeling overwhelmed, and in need of grieving time.
