MUCH ADO ABOUT A CAR FOR THE OPM

Let’s get this straight.  No one is buying a car for Brave Davis, the man.  When a car is bought by the Office of the Prime Minister, it is for the Prime Minister, the person in office and for that person’s use while in office.  The last car that was bought by some reckonings was during the Hubert Ingraham administration, some 13 years ago and that car cost 300, 000 dollars.  This one has a list price of 200,000 give or take a few and the form that we saw on the leaked invoice shows that it is not an armoured vehicle.  If it isn’t, then they should go back to the dealer and get it armoured. We digress.  Last week after someone leaked the document, the FNM went into a frenzy: on the biased anti PLP show Shenique Miller had a lady with a blonde wig who we understand is a storefront preacher railing about how it was improper to buy the car at this time. She has no idea what she is talking about. Why does she wear a blonde wig? What happened to her natural hair?  Another well-known FNM lady said she wanted a ride in the car. Stupid is and stupid does.  They and their trolls started cursing on line,  running on about the cost of the car and wanting to know why does Brave need  car at this time.  All sorts of rubbish.  Then someone sought to deflect the argument by blaming a public servant.  That should not have been done. The proper and appropriate answer later came in a press release from the Office of the Prime Minister with all the facts.  An old car that was always breaking down and had become a maintenance nightmare was being replaced. Simple straight forward.  Those who don’t like it, well lump it.
