The Deputy to the Governor General Cynthia Pratt in the presence of the Permanent Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Donella Bodie administered the oath of office to the new Ambassador to The Bahamas for China Paulette Bethel. Foreign Minister Fred Mitchell speaking at the event said in welcoming the Ambassador back to the team for her third stint as Ambassador that she has the talents and abilities to walk the fine line between the demands of the United States and the need for good relations with China.
