POLICE ROADBLOCKS IN GRAND BAHAMA

Complaints came in from Grand Bahama about the appearance of roadblocks in the Eight Mile Rock area.  During their time in opposition, the PLP campaigned against the roadblocks as an interference and nuisance to the population.  The police defend the present roadblocks by saying that there has been a spike in murders in the community and that in order to stamp it out, they need to catch the bad guys and their guns.  This is not they say an exercise in revenue collection.  Lets hope that is correct and they stick to that and that alone.
