From The Office Chairman of the Progressive Liberal
Condolences On the Death of Rose Hall King
For Immediate Release
1 May 2018
We regret to announce the death of Stalwart Councillor and former PLP Senator Rose Hall King this evening. She was 86 years old at the time of her death.
The PLP has lost a valiant soldier and a strong battler for the progressive cause. In 1982, when no one else would answer the call for service as a candidate in the Marathon Constituency, she said : ” Here am I send me.” Our party is forever grateful.
Having lost the election, she served as a Senator from 1982 to 1987 with distinction.
Following her public service, she continued to contribute her time, talent and treasure to our party.
On behalf of our Leader Philip Davis and the entire party, we extend our condolences to the family.
