The CARICOM Visitors
On Thursday 5 September 2019, Allen Chastanet, Prime Minister of St Lucia and Chair of CARICOM, together with his colleague Mia Mottley of Barbados and Secretary General Irwin Laroq visited The Bahamas to inspect the hurricane damage in The Bahamas. They ended up having lunch at the Poop Deck Hotel out west it seems , with the disapproval of the population. Th criticism was that the Prime Minister was hobnobbing and fine dining while people were dying and suffering from the hurricane.
