THE HANDSHAKE WATCHED AROUND THE WORLD

President Barak Obama shook hands with Cuba’s  Raul Castro in Panama City  to mark the rapprochement of the two nations Cuba and the United States over a long disagreement dating back to cold war.  This was the first time the two leaders from their respective countries had formally met apart from a chance meeting in South Africa at Mandela’s funeral.  The Cuban leader was sitting at the first Summit of The Americas in which Cuba was a full attendee without any conditions.   The date was Saturday 11th April.  The press was in a  swoon.  Kudos to both men.
