The Morphine Crisis in The Bahamas

An explanation of some sort is required from the Bahamas Government’s health care system and its Minister of Health about the lack of morphine for patients in The Bahamas.  When people are in sickle cell crisis or cancer patients have no other options morphine is the drug of last resort to control the otherwise unmanageable pain.  Reports keep saying that for some reason, the supply has been exhausted and there is no way to get additional supplies because we depend on the US FDA regulations for the supply.  They limit what we can get and even though this is the month of February, there is no more to get.  Whatever the case, the complaints are rising.  They have been since November and the matter needs to be addressed by some health official.
