THE NEW BOARD FOR BPL

The Minister for Public Works with his Parliamentary Secretary Bacchus Rolle stood on Monday 24 November to announce the new Board of the Bahamas Power and Light company.  The previous Board under the FNM had to be forced out and did not just resign.  It was most extraordinary.  Now that the new board is in place the hope is that the new energy policies will unfold of the new government.  One of them is that all residences in The Bahamas should be solar by the year 2030 fully financed by the government. The members of the board are Pedro Rolle Chair and Danny Ferguson, Deputy Chair. Others are:  Errol Davis, Anthony Farrington, Reneika Knowles, Dirk Simons, Cheryl Simms and Nadia Storr.
