The Photo Which Contrasts The Generations: Black Vs Brown Shoes

This photo is enough to give Kelly Burrows, our columnist on etiquette, fashion and dress, apoplexy.  This is a sign of the generations though.  You have the MP for Yamacraw Zane Lightbourne with one of his constituents Ilan White, who spoke at the Youth Parliament as MP for Yamacraw.  Mr.  Lightbourne in his black suit and black shoes and what passes in the younger generation for proper dressing up: a powder blue suit and brown shoes.  In the old days, a gentleman would never wear brown shoes.  But the times they are a changing.
