The Sharon and Franklyn Wilson Foundation has just given a gift of 350 k to the University of The Bahamas to fund research into the modern political history of The Bahamas and support the work of writers on that subject. The announcement was made in their presence together with family members and Dr. Chris Curry, Associate Professor of History at University of The Bahamas with Department Head of Social Studies Dr. Nicolette Bethel and University President Rodney Smith. The Wilsons are generous benefactors of the university. 4 August 2021. The business centre is a gift of Sir Franklyn and Lady Wilson. The gift is to mark the run up to the 50th anniversary of the independence of The Bahamas.
