Friends and well-wishers gathered in advance of the Carifta Games opening on Thursday 29 arch to honour Bernard J. Nottage, who passed away last year. Dr. Nottage brought the Carifta Games to The Bahamas. The games are being held in his honour. Lord Sebastian Coe from the International Association of Athletics Federations was there for the event. Former Sports Minister Danny Johnson and friends Barbara Cartwright and former Prime Minister Perry Christie were there as well.
