DISGRACING SIR ARLINGTON BUTLER

No one knows all the facts at least as far as we know in the public domain.  However, the rumours and then the startling headline that within a week of the death of man who was a politician, statesman, teacher, ambassador, minister and head of the Olympic Association and was iconic, his family began led by his children an unseemly fight in public over who was responsible for his burial.  The man’s body wasn’t cold yet the press said before the children moved on the wife and tried to force her out of the matrimonial home because she was not their mother.  The court intervened to stop it and we do not yet know the final determination. However, the thing was disgraceful, unseemly nasty and came off as unbefitting of the family name and demeaning to his reputation. Death does strange things to families it seems. Sir Arlington Butler is pictured with his second wife and now widow.
