Government Must Acquire Right Of Way At Paradise Island

This right of way to Cabbage Beach is said now to be totally private and sealed off from the public as of 31st March and the public access to Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island.  This should not under any circumstances be allowed to stand.  Whatever errors have been made with regard to access to the beach in the past or now, the matter should be reversed and the Government should use its power of eminent domain to publicly acquire the property for a public purpose.  The company that now claims to own it should be told in no uncertain terms, either it conforms to its previous use, the status quo ante or the government will act.

It was my favorite place to be every weekend for 8 years when I lived in Nassau. Please don’t let this happen, I thought the beaches up to the high tide line were public property but access has to be ensured. I will need access for my family to spread some of my ashes, hopefully not for a few years yet, so make sure access is available to the public
