It’s Emancipation Day And The Fox Hill Festival

cialis nurse times;”>Yesterday 1st August marked the 181st anniversary of the abolition of slavery in the then British Empire which included The Bahamas.  The anniversary will be marked by a solemn ecumenical service in Fox Hill on Monday 3rd August at 11 am with an address by the Governor General Dame Marguerite Pindling on the Fox Hill parade.  There will be Junkanoo in Fox Hill on the morning of 3rd August beginning at 1 a m.  Fred Mitchell MP Fox Hill will attend the anniversary service.  On Wednesday 5th August, site there will be a service to dedicate the monument to the five slain Fox Hillians on Freedom Park beginning at 7 p m.  Rev. Monsignor Moss will deliver the homily.
