Prime Minister Perry Christie in the middle, with Hope Strachan, Minister for Financial Services at left and Shane Gibson, Minister for Labour at right at the Carnival on Friday 6 May.

The second Junkanoo Carnival took place this weekend in Nassau. Despite the naysaying Leader of the Opposition Dr. Hubert Minnis with some foolish comment that the Carnival on Saturday offended the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the crowds voted with their feet, including many Seventh Day Adventists.  It looks like a great time was had by all.  Prime Minister Perry Christie said that the Carnival was a boon to the economy.
