Fred Mitchell, Foreign Minister, will leave The Bahamas today for Dominica. The purpose of the visit is to review the forms of assistance required and requested for Dominica in the wake of the devastation of Tropical Storm Erika. Some 80 per cent of the country’s infrastructure has been destroyed. The Bahamas has already provided an emergency grant in concert with a response to an appeal from Caricom. A Caricom team is in the country. The Bahamas has pledged to assist further where possible.
