REECE CHIPMAN JOINS THE BAND OF ANTI TAX PEOPLE

Speaking in the House of Assembly in 6 June, Centreville MP Reece Chipman rubbished his own government’s tax policies. Here is what he had to say:

On Vat raise to 12 per cent: ““I would like to say Centreville is not in support of a full 12 percent VAT increase as we believe it will be channeled to additional bureaucracy, leading to a tougher business model, and more hardship on the people of Centreville and the entire Bahamas.”

On Gaming Taxes: ““Centreville does not believe in discriminatory policies, one for Bahamian owners and another for foreign owners, especially as it pertains to gaming.”
