Trying to Please the FNM Enemies

Lesson number one of this campaign is not to try and please the enemy. They cannot be pleased.  Ignore the heifer, particularly that one who runs the Nassau Guardian.  For five years it’s been one set of nastiness from that direction.  This is a person whose brother is running for the Free National Movement, yet she shamelessly sits at the Guardian pontificating about what the PLP should do and not do.  The case of the Carnival, its on agan off again status is the one we use to make the point.  The decision to cancel the Carnival in an attempt to mollify the critics was a bad decision.  The right decision is to stick by your guns, stand your ground and not wither in the face of fickle public opinion being manipulated by individuals who mean us no good.
