Uncle Toms Mourn Geoffrey Johnstone

Geoffrey Johnstone, the last leader of the United Bahamian Party, died on Friday 4 August at the age of 89.  Sir Geoffrey presided over the dissolution of the UBP  and joined his party with the Free PLP to from the FNM.  He never served in Government but was an MP when the loss in 1967 took place.   He was said to be the main fundraiser for FNM elections in his later years.
