IS THERE A BAD TIME TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT?

The press was full of salacious details against the President of The Bahamas Electrical Workers Union Kyle Wilson, an ally the PLP, and how he abused the overtime privileges at the Bahamas Power and Light Company. The power company is right to want to control over time but the question is whether this is the time to pick a public fight with the union and its leadership over an issue that will almost certainly disrupt the return to service of the facilities serving the people of The Bahamas in the middle of a hot summer. We do not believe all the salacious stuff said about this man but that aside, the Nassau Guardian pointed out that it appears that this is being done to distract from the poor performance of the management of the company and its inability to deliver power to the Bahamian people, after over promising in the spring about power supply.  Our thinking is since the man is one of our allies then we should refrain from doing anything that smacks of attacking him in public.
