The missteps of his Majesty’s Loyal opposition Leader, Michael Pintard, cannot be overlooked as rookie mistakes, but, should be seen as an angry senior man leader preferring always to take the low road on life’s journey.

Pintard has three consecutive elections defeat to his credit; his way or the highway approach. As a leader that has severely fractured his FNM organization, he always seemingly finds himself on the wrong side of national issues slavishly and unapologetically siding with the GB Port Authority.

His latest foray breeches the long tradition and protocols that politics ends at the high watermark. Attacking The Bahamas delegation at the United Nations inclusive of his own member who was part of the official delegation. Those actions tells the story and the mentality of a slave who wishes to become a King at all costs.

The Bahamian Parliament reconvenes on Wednesday, 30th September for debate. Mr.Pintard could and should have waited until the opportunity arose for members statements in Parliament to strenuously object to any statements made by the government of the Bahamas and show cause for his objections where a rigorous debate could have been had. Instead, he took to his social media pages with a Bahamian flag crossed with an American flag. That within itself was a signal of disloyalty.

A loyal opposition leader worth his salt will only hold one flag; a slave, however, will see nothing wrong with holding two. Mr. Pintard sovereignty means something. July 10th, 1973 means something. A right of self-determination though only 400,000 strong means something.

Patriotism of a citizen is not a commodity to be bought and sold. One flag at a time, Mr. Pintard. “One Bahamas”
