HEADING TO CARIFESTA

Fred Mitchell, the Foreign Minister, will travel to Barbados for Carifesta.  It is the cultural equivalent to the Carifta Games in sports.  A Bahamian delegation will be led by the Director of Culture for The Bahamas and there will be a Junkanoo performance in Barbados on Thursday 28 August 2025. Carifesta coincides with the annual crop over festival in Barbados that marks the end of the cane cutting season.
