JEANNE THOMPSON HAS ADVICE FOR THE FNM

You can think or consider the former Justice Jeanne Thompson as an iconoclast not in the cynical way of Dr. Ian Strachan of the University of The Bahamas but literally someone who likes to attack the icons of our life.  So one would expect that no matter what government is in office it is only matter of time before she attacks that government.  Well for the FNM, ten months in office is apparently enough and she put pen to paper in a letter which appeared in The Tribune which could easily have come from a PLP.  But of course she is not a PLP.  She comes from this class of folk in the Bahamas who are in a social sense neither fish nor fowl.  When she did serve in Parliament she was a supporter of Norman Solomon, who was a liberal white man, who headed something called the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and for example his solution to the colour problem was to have miscegenation on a wide scale and then everyone would be neither black nor white. Say what? Yeah he said it. That said it is significant that a former Justice of the Court, well known playwright and social commentator thinks that the FNM needs to get a life.  The letter follows:
