THE DEATHS ARE TOO GORY AND TOO MANY

The frightening videos were going around on social media over the past two weeks. One started with the shooting in Fox Hill, like a scene from Boys N The Hood, the Hollywood movie of random shooting and violence. Four men jumped out of car and sprayed a gathering in Fox Hill in full view of the cameras. Before that could be processed, there was the killing in broad daylight in downtown Marsh Harbour, Abaco and the men again four or five of them made quick work of the individual one Warren “ Spy” Ellis, the press said. After gunning him down, one of the stood over him and emptied their weapon of the bullets into his head. They left. The video was there for all to see. Then there was the report of a man in the middle of downtown Nassau who was summarily gunned down in the middle of the capital city and left for dead, and that he was. No one has been arrested in any of these events. The public officials, the politicians and the public at large are simply left to describe the problem, just as we are in this column. Nothing has been done and you get the impression that nothing will be done. We say it for what it’s worth. This is simply unacceptable.
