A NEW PRIEST IS ORDAINED
We congratulate the Rev Fr. Dave Demetri Thomas who was ordained to the sacred priesthood of the Anglican Church on Wednesday 2nd October at the Christ Church Cathedral in Nassau. It has been a long time coming. The Bishop Laish Boyd has been busy over the last month and will be in the coming months with more ordinations to the diaconate and the upcoming Synod, the governing council of the church which starts on 21st October 2019. The Anglican Church has lots of young people waiting in the wings to become priests. We hope that this assures the church’s future and that it is not that we are using our scarce resources to prepare priests for dioceses in the US and Canada.
