On Monday 26 August 2019, the Junior Doctors Union of the Public Health Authority marched to the Rawson Square to protest the failure of the Government to settle their issues. Instead of settling the issues, two doctors the Prime Minister Hubert Minnis and the Health Minister Duane Sands pulled a fast one. They had the Minister of Labour refer the matter to the Industrial Tribunal; then he went to court to get an injunction to force the doctors back to work. This is simply lousy on the part of the Government. This followed a campaign of disinformation which the Government and its FNM propaganda machine has been running for weeks at the doctors. They used The Punch and The Tribune to spread their lies. The doctors have said they will continue pressing forward. The matter is now set for a substantive hearing in the courts before Mr. Justice Ian Winder on 19 September 2019.
