BELINDA OF THE B.U.T. SHUTS HER BIG MOUTH

Just before the Cabinet met on Tuesday 8 September 2026, the delegation of the Bahamas Union of Teachers (BUT) marched out in front of the media cameras with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Chester Cooper to announce that they had a deal with the Government. This was after a week of bluster and threats by the biggity, noisy and disgusting Belinda Wilson who heads the union.  All of it unnecessary. She claimed that the government was stalling but at the same time had said that 95 per cent of the issues had been resolved just the finances were left. The finances showed that she was at 20 per cent, the government was at 17 per cent. The Prime Minister Philip Davis stepped in and the matter was resolved. Just after pronouncing the agreement the best ever, she then announced that she would be stepping down as leader of the BUT and retiring at the end of her term in 2028. God riddance to bad rubbish.
